MeridianSpa plans to raise 10 million EUR

The "premium provider of fitness, wellness and body care" MeridianSpa gives a bond for the second time in its history. In 2011 with the "fitness bond" 4.6 million euros were raised. With the new "Wellness bond" a volume of 10 million euros is to be realized.

The first club in Hamburg was founded nearly 30 years ago in 1984. Currently there are six clubs in Hamburg, Kiel and Berlin, where nearly 30,000 members exercise. By 2018 the numbers of memberships is expected to be increased to 40,000 and sales of approximately 30 million to be increased to around 42 million euros.

An important project in this way is the realization of the first club in Frankfurt. Under the new 38,000 sqm shopping center "Skyline Plazza" the ECE group opens the 10,000 sqm fitness and wellness club in February 2014. Further growth will come from the opening of the fifth club in Hamburg in the Wasserturmpalais in Barmbek in September 2014. The club is located in a former hospital and will include 4,200 sqm.

The capital acquired by the investors is to be used for the final financing of the Frankfurt site (fixtures and equipment) as well as the costs of construction subsidy and the equipment and the furnishings of the new club in Hamburg. Any remaining funds are used to optimize the financing structure. In return, investors receive an interest rate of 6 to 7 percent on their investment.
