HSV with new investor

Hamburger SV presents its new investor Helmut Bohnhorst. It just became public, that the 55-year-old agricultural entrepreneur and long-standing HSV fan from Niedersachsen has signed the contract on 20 March.

For four million Euro he received 1.5 percent of the shares in HSV Fußball AG. The transaction values HSV with a total of EUR 267m. The new shareholder is quoted: “HSV is an affair of the heart. With the purchase, I want to set an example. The management, the team, the employees and the fans have to stand together now.”

With Helmut Bohnhorst, HSV introduces already its third investor. Previously, the Hamburg businessman Alexander Otto invested ten million Euro to build the youth training centre. Logistic operator Kühne purchased 7.5 percent of the shares in HSV Fußball AG for EUR 18.75m and the naming right to the stadium for further EUR 16m. In total, HSV was able to raise financial resources of 48.75 Mio. EUR.
