The unique selling point of elbgym is an exclusive performance fitness concept with a strong fitness community focus. The chain currently has three fitness studios in Hamburg, with a fourth opening planned for the early summer of 2019. elbgym stands primarily for hard training, crossfit and a special architectural ambience. All studios have a uniform device concept and CrossFit accreditation. The emphasis in the clubs is on strength training with fitness, bodybuilding, weightlifting and powerlifting.
"Performance fitness is a growing market that we are successfully entering through this partnership with one of our former competitors - with a regionally established player, a clear product and a highly motivated founder and his team," said Martin Seibold, Fitness's CEO First Germany. "With elbgym, we have found a mature and well-established concept that can potentially scale to other cities and whose rapid growth we can support and accelerate as a business, as needed and as needed."
As part of the partnership, Fitness First Germany Holdings GmbH has taken over 100 percent of the shares in elbgym. In the future, Fitness First Germany will be partnering with elbgym as an independent brand under the umbrella of Fitness First Germany Holdings GmbH. Fitness First Germany Holdings GmbH also includes the fitness network My Fitness Card GmbH and the online fitness studio NewMoove GmbH.
